Dinstance Voices

The post-90s generation is the most active migration group in China today. Young people generally aspire to leave their hometowns and congregate in developed cities, resulting in increasingly visible intergenerational conflicts.

This project creates a "conflict buffer zone" between post-90s migrant youth and their hometowns to reduce conflicts and show how urban migration and marriage pressure fragment the relationship between contemporary migrant youth and their families.
